LOVED IT, LOVED IT LOVED IT!!! It only took 5 minutes of screen time for me to announce out loud (sorry fellow movie goers) that Ninja Assassin is on my list of favorite movies EVER!! Major action and the martial arts are fantastic! There is an abundance of blood spewing from severed body parts. This movie is not for the weak of stomach. There is humor but it isn’t over done or cheesy. The story line is a little weak but the story isn’t important in a movie like this, sort of like porn. It’s all about the fight scenes. If they had the DVD of this movie for sale as you exited the theater I would have bought it. There is a small romance in the movie but it isn’t enough to ruin it, it just gives the writers more reason to add extra disembowelment scenes.

Korean pop star Rain does a great job in the title role, an impressive introduction to the American public. He said he does all his own stunts, and it pays off. We even get to laugh at his Boy Band, Pop Star status in one scene. My favorite quote had to be between an international crime investigator and his co-worker: “You want to do the insubordination Tango, fine, just not in front of the kids”. I probably relate to it because I’ve been written up for insubordination at every job I’ve ever had, and I have had a lot)…. Hey, I have a problem with authority… you got a problem with that? Anyway, if non stop fight scenes and massive amounts of blood and body parts aren’t enough to hook you on to this movie, the producers threw in a bunch of explosions at the end so viola……the perfect film!
