Big time, three team, five player and draft pick trade on Wednesday as the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair, the Washington Wizards acquired Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Al Thornton and the Cavs first round draft pick and the Los Angeles Clippers acquired Drew Gooden. (Side Note: I thought Drew Gooden was going to be a good player in the NBA but he is on team number eight so I think it is safe to say he is terrible. Gooden's career numbers are 11.7ppg and 7.8rpg which are not bad numbers but for some reason this guy can't find a home. I mean lost puppies find homes faster then Drew Gooden.)
The only team that really matters in this trade is the Cavaliers. The Clippers acquisition of Drew Gooden just like there acquisitions of Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake earlier in the week will do absolutely nothing to improve their team. Mediocre players acquired in mediocre move by less than mediocre organization. The Wizards have successfully blown up their roster and now have Josh Howard, Big Z and Al Thornton, three players who can't create their own shots to play with Randy Foye a guy who can't play the point guard position, sweet! Seriously Wizards, how do you not get JJ Hickson in this deal?

In this Oct. 13, 2009, photo, Washington Wizards' Antawn Jamison takes a shot against the Detroit Pistons in a preseason NBA basketball game in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Cavs finally got Antawn Jamison a guy who they have been rumored to be interested in on numerous occasions. Lebron James may finally have the sidekick he has so desperately needed and that Mo Williams could never be (Side Note: Mo Williams disappeared last year in the playoffs and when his shot isn't falling he is borderline useless). Jamison is a scrappy player who has a nose for the ball and on any given night he can give you 20/10 and did I mention he can hit the three.
Having said that I don't think I like this trade and this is why. Earlier in the season when the Cavs beat the Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown played both Shaquille O'Neal and Big Z at the same time. The line-up really frustrated the Lakers and the Cavs won the game. I thought Shaq and Illgauskas would have been effective against Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. Granted Shaq and Big Z in the game together at any other time would be (was) stupid but against the Lakers, it is perfect. If the Cavs are to make it to the finals who is Jamison going to guard Pau Gasol? The Cavs could lose to the Magic but the Magic are playing a terrible brand of basketball these days and I just don't see them beating the Cavs this year. The Magic will miss Turkoglu come playoff time.

| Reizan | Apr 2 2010 10:35AM | Celtics weren't whining if you actually look at the replays of the game you could see the Celtics were in the paint more and weren't getting any foul calls yet the Thunder shot alot of jump shots but still got more foul calls.Yes the Celtics did let those huge threes go by near the end but still not right. Refs been doin this to the Celtics all year and I'm just not speaking as a Celtics fan jus as a pure watcher of the game. Even Paul Pierce ,a master at getting the free throw line, is barely getting to the line nowadays. |
| Reizan | Apr 2 2010 10:37AM | Also Tiger Woods and his people need to shut up blaming Barkley and Jordan. Tiger is a big boy who knows what he was doing so don't blame Barkley and Jordan for El Tigre's little crimes against society. Seriously if you saw those text he sent you know nobody teaches that! |
