WARRIORS 146 WOLVES 105
The Warriors suffered an embarrassing losses to the Clippers and Kings this past weekend but on Monday they took out their frustrations against the wolves scoring an NBA season high 146 points. The Warriors were led by Kelenna Azubuike 31 points and Stephen Jackson’s 15 assists. The loss marked the Wolves seventh straight loss. The most disturbing fact about this game is that the Wolves committed 28 turnovers and only had 23 assists. The Warriors scored 47 points off the wolves turnovers.
This performance came after Stephen Jackson’s agent Mark Stevens demanded Jackson be traded immediately citing Don Nelson lack of character and inept coaching as the main reasons. I doubt this game will do much to appease Jackson and his agent as the Wolves are not that good.
SUNS 119 76ERS 115
The Suns overcame a 10 point halftime deficit to get past the 76ers and finish their five game road trip 4-1. The Suns are off to a great start and Steve Nash is having an MVP like season. Nash dished out 20 assists for the second time this season.
Elton Brand remained on the bench in the fourth quarter and continues to fall out of favor with new head coach Eddie Jordan. Jordan went with rising second year player Mareese Speights who finished the game with 20 points and 8 rebounds.
