Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills
Will the Eagles fall to 1-4, forcing them to play near flawless football for the rest of the season. No. Eagles 35 Bills 27.
Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are banged up but after starting the season with 3 of 4 on the road, I think some home loving is in order. Pittsburgh 24 Titans 10.
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts
Will Indy win their first game of the season against the hapless Chiefs? No. K.C. 27 Colts 17.
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings
The Cardinals are 0-2 on the road and the Vikings are 0-2 at home. When something has to give always go with the home team. Minnesota 24 Arizona 21.
Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans
The 3-1 Texans are flying high coming off a big win against perennial AFC powerhouse Pittsburgh. This game has all the makings of a let down. Oakland 31 Houston 30.
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton has kept the Panthers very competitive early on but they are just 1-3. New Orleans is rolling offensively and will keep it going this week. N.O. 38 Carolina 28.
Cincinnati Bengals at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags are just terrible and QB Blaine Gabbert has the lowest passer rating in the entire league (62.9) BUT they are at home. Jacksonville 27 Cincinnati 17.
Seattle Seahawks at New York Giants
The Giants are finding themselves and despite a slew of injuries appear to be contenders again. Seattle not so much. N.Y. 30 Seattle 10.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers
One of the more intriguing matchups of week 5 gives us a couple of 3-1 teams. It is really a tough call but I am NOT going to go with the road team who is coming off a short week. S.F. 20 T.B. 13.
New York Jets at New England Patriots
These teams may respect one another but they certainly do not like one another. The Pats have the worst pass defense in the NFL which may prove to be the medicine the struggling Mark Sanchez needs. N.E. 35 N.Y. 28.
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos
The Chargers have yet to win a game on the road this season. That streaks ends Sunday. S.D. 31 Denver 24.
Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are a disappointing 2-2 while the World Champs have scored the most points in the league and 1 of only 2 undefeated teams left. No reason to think the Pack slow down this week. G.B. 38 Atlanta 27.
Monday October 10, 2011
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
The way they are playing the Lions may never lose. It seems like no matter the deficit nor the opposition they have a will to win that appears unbreakable. So Chicago has not a chance in the world right? Nope. Chicago 24 Detroit 20.
Week 4 Results: 10-6
Season Results: 33-15
