NFL Week 4 - In My Rare View
by Marlon Benjamin
10/5/11

My Rare View - NFL Season Week 4

1. Megatron, Stafford and the rest of the Lions, OH MY! If these boys from Detroit keep it up they may just have a home playoff game and anything can happen from there.

2. The Colts dropped to 0-4 even though QB Curtis Painter completed an 87 yard touchdown pass Monday night against the Bucs, something Peyton Manning has NEVER done in his entire career.

3. It was recently brought to my attention that John Elway threw for over 374 yards once in his first 170 starts, Carolina rookie phenom Cam Newton has now done it in 3 of his first 4 starts. Although it is a different game today, that stat is still extremely impressive.

4. The Lions and Packers are the only undefeated teams in the NFL. It just so happens they are also in the same division.

5. The Dolphins, Colts, Vikings and Rams remain the leagues only winless teams.

6. Patriot wide receiver Wes Welker is currently on pace for 2,464 receiving yards this season.

7. Quietly Matt Hasselbeck has led the Tennessee Titans to a 3-1 record and he is enjoying a career year.

PLAYER OF THE "WEAK":
Mark Sanchez, NY Jets - 11-35 119 yards 1 Int. 30.5 QB Rating.

WEEK 4 HIGHLIGHTS:

49'S FURIOUS COMEBACK

TEXANS HOLD OFF STEELERS

PATS A LITTLE TOO MUCH FOR RAIDERS

POWER 5:

Matt Forte, RB Chicago
- 25 Rush, 205 yds, 1 TD

Alex Smith, QB San Francisco
- 21-33, 291 yds, 2 TDs

Joey Graham, TE New Orleans
- 10 Rec, 132 yds, 1 TD

Eli Manning, QB New York Giants
- 27-40, 321 yds, 2 TDs

A. Rodgers, QB Green Bay
- 29-38, 408 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 9 Rush, 36 yds, 2 TDs

WEEK 5 PREDICTIONS:

Kansas City at Indianapolis
- Will Indy win their first game of the season against the hapless Chiefs? No. K.C. 27 Colts 17.

Philadelphia at Buffalo
- Will the Eagles fall to 1-4, forcing them to play near flawless football for the rest of the season. No. Eagles 35 Bills 27.

Chicago at Detroit
- Will the Lions ever lose? It seems like no matter the deficit or opposition they have a will to win that will not be broken. So Chicago has not a chance in the world right? Nope. Chicago 24 Detroit 20.
