My Rare View - NFL Season Week 3
by Marlon Benjamin
9/29/11

1. The Vaunted "Dream Team" in Philadelphia lost their second game in a row and their starting QB was also injured for the second game in a row. Looks like things are not going to be as smooth in Philly as many predicted prior to the start of the season.

2. Tom Brady was intercepted 4 times in Buffalo on Sunday. He was intercepted 4 times all of last season. On another note he is on pace to throw for 7,000 yards and 58 touchdowns.

3. Darren McFadden has officially arrived. In my NFL Season Preview (http://www.thehoopsforum.com/gm174.aspx) McFadden was one of my players to watch.

4. The undefeated teams in the NFL are the Packers, Lions and Bills.

5. The winless teams in the NFL are the Dolphins, Colts, Chiefs, Vikings and Rams.

6. The Dallas Cowboys knocked the surprising Redskins from the ranks of the unbeaten getting 6 field goals from rookie kicker Dan Bailer in a 18 to 16 thriller.
v 7. Lions WR Calvin "Megatron" Johnson has caught 6 touchdown passes in the first 3 games of this season which is an NFL record.

PLAYER OF THE "WEAK": Kerry Collins, Indianapolis - 13-29 93 yards. 40 QB rating.
WEEK 3 HIGHLIGHTS:

THE BILLS COME STORMING BACK

DOWN 20, NO PROBLEM FOR THESE LIONS

4TH QUARTER FIREWORKS IN NEW ORLEANS

POWER 5:

Eli Manning, NY GIANTS - 16-23, 254 yds, 4 TD's

Darren McFadden, OAKLAND - 19 Rush, 171 yds, 2 TD's

Wes Welker, NEW ENGLAND - 16 rec, 217 yds, 2 TD's

Matthew Stafford, DETROIT - 32-46, 378 yds, 2 TD's

J. Finley, GREEN BAY - 7 Rec, 85 yds, 3 TD's

WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS:

Minnesota at Kansas City - This is a matchup of two of the leagues 5 winless teams. Minnesota is just awful but good thing for them the Chiefs are even worse. Minnesota 27 Kansas City 20.

San Francisco at Philadelphia - Mike Vicks Eagles are now in a position where they are most comfortable; their backs are against the wall and they HAVE to come out fighting. Eagles 31 Niners 17.

NY Jets at Baltimore - In perhaps the game of the week, these two AFC powerhouses get a chance to see exactly where they stand. In a game that will most like come down to Flacco or Sanchez, I take Flacco every time. Baltimore 24 NY Jets 20.
