NFL Week 2 Predictions

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets
The Jets were EXTREMELY fortunate to beat the Cowboys at home in week 1. They will not need nearly as much good luck to get by the Jags. New York 24 Jacksonville 10.
Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints
The Bears certainly looked every bit the role of contenders in last weeks pounding of the Falcons. I have a feeling things may be a little bit tougher this week. N.O. 35 Chicago 17.
Oakland Raiders at Buffalo Bills
Think about this for a second. By the time night falls on Sunday evening EITHER the Bills or the Raiders will be 2-0. Buffalo 17 Oakland 13.
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Redskins
Lost in the Cam Newton coming out party was the fact that Kevin Kolb was the best QB in that game. As a matter of fact Redskin QB Rex Grossman had better game than Newton as well. Washington 38 Arizona 31.
Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans
Coming off a game for the ages, the Ravens defense gets to face Matt Hasselbeck's version of the Titans. This one will not be pretty. Ravens 28 Titans 3.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers
If the Seahawks amass more than 150 yards of total offense in this game they should unveil a statue in Pete Carrolls honor prior to the start of their next home game. Pittsburgh 35 Seattle 3.
Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panther
Panther WR Steve Smith is back on his shhhhh again and the Panthers appear to have a little more pop in them than anyone ever imagined. Not this week though. Green Bay 38 Carolina 17.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings
Vikings QB Donovan McNabb played SO bad last week that if you multiplied his passing yards by 10 there were STILL 4 QB's who passed for more yards than him last week. Tampa Bay 21 Vikes 17.
Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts
The loser of this game will drop to 0-2. For Cleveland that is common ground. For the Colts it is unchartered waters. Colts 28 Browns 24.
Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions
The Lions are (for now) for real. The Chiefs not so much. Detroit 38 K.C. 17.
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers
Last weeks games against the Jets summed up Tony Romo's career in a nutshell. Like those old cartoons where a nicely wrapped present when opened would explode in the face of the receiver. Dallas 28 SF 21.
Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins
The Texans are not nearly as good as they showed last week and Miami's defense is not nearly as bad. Welcome to the median game. Miami 24 Houston 21.
San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots
In week one both Tom Brady and Philip Rivers threw 48 passes for over 300 yards (517 in Brady's team record setting case) and multiple td's. This one will be fun. New England 31 San Diego 28.
Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos
The Broncos are better than the Bengals and will have little time proving it this weekend. Denver 31 Bengals 17.
Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons
I said it before and I'll say it again. There is no way I can see a contender like the Falcons dropping to 0-2. Atlanta 27 Philadelphia 17.
Monday September 19, 2011
St. Louis Rams at New York Giants
The Rams will be competitive but do not have nearly enough to pull off the shocker in the home opener for the G Men. Giants 24 Rams 16.
