AROUND THE NBA
by Ron Campbell
Not much news going around in the NBA these days. Labor negotiations resumed this week and the first thing we here out of the talks is that both sides are very far apart and that we are likely to miss some games this season which is awful news if you are die hard like me. Normally during this time of the year there are still a few summer leagues games to watch but now we have nothing other than Basketball wives.
I know what you are thinking because I am thinking the same thing. Both sides should be doing whatever it takes to get a deal down because last season was probably the most exciting season since 90-91 seasons when Jordan won his first title. But like what we have seen between democrats and republicans, bickering over a debt deal while our economy hangs in the balance, both sides don't seem to have a sense of urgency. This lockout looks like it is going long drawn out battle.
DURANT
Kevin Durant played at the Rucker on Monday and scored 66 points in the Entertainers Basketball classic. The video below is bananas during one stretch Durant makes four three pointers in a row. I have seen this sort of performance before check out YouTube clip of game one of the 1992 Finals.
