YAO RETIRES
Yao Ming has retired, very sad stuff, his career was cut short by injuries but should not be discounted. He only played eight seasons but had career averages of 19.0ppg 9.2rpg. Yao was very skilled big man who had a killer fade-way shot was a terrific passer. Yeah he didn't average a ton of rebounds, despite his size he at times we wasn't the strongest player and could be boxed out and he wasn't a great leaper. He had four playoff appearances but only got past the first round once and surprisingly this was done without his sidekick of many years Tracy McGrady.
Yao would have definitely won an NBA championship if his feet didn't betray him but he will be remembered. My most memorable Yao moment came in his rookie year when he first faced Shaquille O'Neal he only had 10 points 10 rebounds and 6 blocks but it was the first time I had ever seen another player other than Hakeem Olajuwon make Shaq look silly. check the out the video.
SEEING REDD
Apparently the Celtics are interested in Michael Redd. This is typical Celtics they have been doing this sort of stuff ever since I was a kid. Sign aging/injured former all-stars from Dominque Wilkins to most recently Shaquille O'Neal the Celtics love rolling the dice with these guys.
