2012 ALL-ROOKIE TEAM
It is never to early to start thinking about who the top rookies will be so I am going to take a stab at predicting the all-rookie team second and first teams as well as the rookie of the year. Lets go:

Rookie of the Year: Kyrie Irving
I really went out on a limb with this one but I really believe it, I saw Kyrie Irving before his toe injury and I thought he was going to have a better career at Duke than Jason Williams who was an absolute monster his time at Duke. Irving is not as fast as John Wall or Rajon Rondo but he is a by far a better shooter than both. It is also safe to say he is a better shooter Russell Westbrook and current MVP Derrick Rose.
All-Rookie First Team
Kyrie Irving
Klay Thompson
Jan Vesely
Derrick Williams
Jimmer Fredette
We already talked about Irving, Thompson is going to get as many minutes as he needs once Golden State trades Monta Ellis. I will not bet against the confidence/arrogance of Vesely who called Blake Griffin the european version of him. Derrick Williams is going to fill it up and what can I say I am a Jimmer fan.
All-Rookie Second Team
Enes Kanter
Kawhi Leonard
Brandon Knight
Marshon Brooks
Norris Cole
Kanter I don't know anything about other than the youtube I posted last week from the Nike Hoop Summit, Kawhi Leonard will make an impression because he will be playing for one of the best coaches in Greg Popovich and he gives 100% everytime he steps on the floor.
Brandon Knight I almost didn't include on either the first or the second team simply because he will be joining a backcourt of Ben Gordon, Tracy McGrady, Rip Hamilton, Will Bynum and Rodney Stuckey, I honestly don't know how he fits but if the look on his face on draft night said anything this is a guy who is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
Brooks played on a not so good Providence team but might flourish playing alongside other professionals who can draw attention away from him and allow him to not have to face a double team everytime he touches the ball. Many analysts have said Cole is as good of shooter as Jimmer Fredette. I watched a few videos of him on youtube, nothing worth posting, and this kid can play. When you think he will be playing off LeBron, Wade and Bosh you have to assume he is going to have an easy time scoring in the pros.
BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL
Dirk Nowitski says he went on a three week drinking binge after losing in 2006. OK Dirk maybe its time we stop talking for a bit, lets not do that next interview.
OPTING OUT
David West is taking his talents elsewhere. The power forward opted against earning $7.5 million dollars with the Hornets to test free agency. West should stand to make a lot of money despite the collective bargaining agreement. West's teammate Aaron Gray opted out of his contract as well but nobody really cares.
OTHER
I was listening to the "Razor and Mr. T" show on ESPN radio and a caller asked who would win a game between five "Michael Jordans" versus five young (1990-93) "David Robinson. What a dumb question! Isn't the correct question who would win one-on-one.
