COMING TO AMERICA

Ricky Rubio is in the United States and will be playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves if there is a season next year. The Wolves have a lot to be excited about Rubio is a terrific young player who held is own as a 17 year old in the Olympics up against Chris Paul and last summer we got to see him matched up against current NBA MVP Derrick Rose. Ricky is a dynamic player who will be able to push the ball in transition and see over smaller guards. He will make Minnesota's current wingman Michael Beasley, Wesley Johnson and Martell Webster better by getting them easier baskets. With Kevin Love grabbing rebounds and throwing the outlet, the Wolves are going to be fun to watch

DRAFT

The NBA Draft is on Thursday and there are rumors that the Lakers and T-Wolves are working on a deal that would send Pau Gasol to the Wolves for Kevin Love and the number two pick. I didn't believe this rumor at first but it seems to have some legs. I think the obvious winner in this deal would be Minnesota. They get a proven NBA champion power forward and having Gasol would most likely make Rubio happy. He would get to team up with a former teammate.

The Lakers despite being the loser in this situation wouldn't be in a terrible spot either they would add youth to a roster that definitely needs some young talent. They would get the reigning league leader in rebounds in Love and you have to assume that they take Brandon Knight with the number two pick as they already have Ron Artest and Lamar Odom so Derrick Williams wouldn't be a good fit. Plus when you factor in that Derek Fisher and Steve Blake were one of the worst point guard/backup point guard tandem in the league.

OTHER

Don't be surprised to see Andre Igoudola or Monta Ellis traded on draft night.

Three guys who are expected to be Top 10 picks are foriegners, I don't know anything about these guys other than these youtube clips below. After watching I like Jan Vesely the most, Enes Kanter second and Jonas Valanciunas third. The video of Kanter is from the Nike Hoop summit, keep in mind he is only 17 in the video also keep in mind in 1998 a some guy named Dirk Nowitski scored 33 points and well you know the rest of the story.
