The Tiger blame game, Toine gets the pink slip & the C's crying foul play on this week’s News & Reaction.

Mets de Guaynabo released after nine games former NBA player Antoine Walker. The American, who accepted the proposal of the Puerto Rican club, to earn money for his debts, appeared in 9 games averaging 12.4ppg and 8.9rpg in BSN.
My Reaction:
This sad story continues to get sadder. Walker was a former NBA All Star and earned well over $110 million dollars in his professional playing career. He was on the cover of EA Sports NBA Live 99' for crying out loud. He is still relatively young at 33 so hopefully he is able to weather the storm and turn his life around. But I doubt it.

News:
Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett were livid at the lack of foul calls for C's in a 109-104 home loss to the upstart OKC Thunder. Thunder catalyst Kevin Durant was 15-15 from the line and the ENTIRE Celtic team was 13-17.
My Reaction:
The C's need to stop whining. They shot a blistering .595 % from the field and were able to get whatever they wanted on offense. They lost because they could not get key stops down the stretch. Jeff Green buried two huge 3 pointers with the Thunder holding on to a 1 point lead each in the final 2 minutes of the game. This team has had an excuse for every snag they have hit all season long. Too bad there is no excuse for old age.
News:
The Lakers suffered their 3rd loss in 4 games 109-92 against the impressive Hawks.
My Reaction:
Although L.A.'s struggles can be directly attributed to the loss of their starting center, Andrew Bynum, they simple look lost as a unit on defense. Kobe Bryant has been visibly frustrated by his team’s horrible tailspin. Champions do not hang their heads when faced with adversity. They regroup, reload and come out with guns a blazing. I expect the same from these Lakers as they attempt to defend their NBA title in a couple of weeks. That being said, they have looked absolutely pathetic recently.

Jordan, Barkley made Woods 'a self-indulgent, sex-crazed narcissist'
Via: thetimesofindia
The New York Post quoted lawyer John Merchant as telling Tiger Woods to 'Stay away from that son of a bitch [Michael Jordan], because he doesn't have anything to offer to the f- - -ing world in which he lives except playing basketball, which he did yesterday".
My Reaction:
Tiger Woods is an adult and he has to be held accountable for his own actions. Could the well seasoned Barkley and Jordan present Tiger with some influential pressure no golfing record could? Of course. But is Tiger an acne faced teen looking to fit in? Of course not. All it takes is a small abuse of power to make a control freak lose control. Tiger tasted the power of invincibility and that brought out a dark side or maybe it brought out the REAL him.

| Reizan | Apr 2 2010 10:35AM | Celtics weren't whining if you actually look at the replays of the game you could see the Celtics were in the paint more and weren't getting any foul calls yet the Thunder shot alot of jump shots but still got more foul calls.Yes the Celtics did let those huge threes go by near the end but still not right. Refs been doin this to the Celtics all year and I'm just not speaking as a Celtics fan jus as a pure watcher of the game. Even Paul Pierce ,a master at getting the free throw line, is barely getting to the line nowadays. |
| Reizan | Apr 2 2010 10:37AM | Also Tiger Woods and his people need to shut up blaming Barkley and Jordan. Tiger is a big boy who knows what he was doing so don't blame Barkley and Jordan for El Tigre's little crimes against society. Seriously if you saw those text he sent you know nobody teaches that! |
